Windsorは1905年にリリースされたディスプレイ用のタイプフェイスです。WindsorはElisha PecheyによってデザインされStephenson Blake type Foundryによって1905年にリリースされました。本文書体ではなくヘッダーやディスプレイの目的でデザインされています。1970年代にアメリカのポップカルチャーの中でディスプレイ書体として好んで使われたことで70年代を代表するフォントでもあります。トリビアとしては、ウッディアレンがLove and Death (1975)のためのタイプフェイスを探していたところEd Benguiaに勧められ、その後ウッディーアレンのフィルムポスターには必ずと言って良いほど登場しています。
Windsor is a serif typeface created by Eleisha Pechey (1831-1902) and released by the Stephenson Blake type foundry. It is intended for use such as display and in headings rather than for body text. It is also a representative font of the 1970s, as it was a favorite display typeface in American pop culture during the 1970s. As a point of trivia, Woody Allen was looking for a typeface for Love and Death (1975) and Ed Benguia recommended it to him, and since then it has appeared on every Woody Allen film poster.
