California license plate, used from 1993 to the present. The brush script used for the California portion is Rage Italic; the basic shape is the same, but the trailing i and a are different in form from those in the font.

Rage Italicは1984年にリリースされたスクリプトのタイプフェイスです。アメリカ人のRon Zwingelbergによってデザインされた、最初期のカジュアルなスクリプトの一つで、ラフなテクスチャーをもつブラシスクリプトです。イニシャルの大文字が小文字とバランス良くリンクして本物のハンドライティングのような印象を与えます。
Rage Italic is the work of American designer Ron Zwingelberg. It was one of the first casual brush style scripts with a rough, textured edge. The initial-like capitals complement a lowercase alphabet which links together to create the look of true handwriting. Rage Italic font is ideal for work that should have the spontaneous look of pen writing on parchment.
