News Gothic は1908年にリリースされたサンセリフのタイプフェイスです。Morris Fuller BentonによってつくられAmerican Type Foundersによってリリースされました。この一風変わった形のバランスは長い間人気のタイプフェイスとして様々な用途に使われています。おなじくBentonによるデザインのフォントFranklin Gothicと共通のプロポーションや構造を持っていますが、こちらの方が若干細身です。
